Top 3 Energy-Boosting Foods To Eat Before You Go Onstage


There’s nothing like feeling tired or groggy just before a performance so we’re raiding our fridge for the top 3 energy-boosting fruits. They’re sweet, they’re juicy, they’re cheap and you can pick them up at Tesco right before a gig (woohoo!).

  1. Banana

Our fave yellow fruit after the lemon (wait, it’s a fruit right?) is the banana. This moon-shaped favourite helps maintain your normal muscle and nerve function-- perfect for those in-air splits, whilst providing instant energy. Roll on encore.

  1. Strawberries

Fight fatigue (and a seven-hour road trip to that gig in Leeds) with a shed-load of strawberries. Yum. It also helps you see better, perfect for spotting mum in the audience. Hi Mum.

  1. Papaya

Locked out of the band car with your smoker bandmate in Winter? No probs. Our tropical friend Papaya helps prevent the damage caused by second-hand smoke and the common cold all while giving you an instant energy boost! Win.
